In today’s world where many junk food options are available to children they hardly get any nutrition. Over busy parents add to the seriousness of the problem. To cope up with the changing needs and competitive environment we have to make our children strong enough by giving them proper diet. I am presenting to you some nutritious dishes which are easy to make and loved by children.

  1.Vegetable Sandwiches-

Ingredients– Brown Bread, Cucumber, Tomatoes, Crushed carrot, Cream(malai), Salt to taste, Black Pepper.

Method– Cut cucumber and tomatoes into slices. Mix carrot with cream and apply it on the brown bread. Put cucumber and tomato slices on it. Add salt and black pepper. Cover it with another piece of bread. Serve with green chutney.

  2.Vegetable Cutlets-

Ingredients– Carrot, Peas, Cabbage, Potatoes, Gram Flour, Salt to taste.

Method– Mix all the vegetables with adequate amount of gram flour. Make balls of it. Shallow fry them and serve hot with green chutney.

  1. Kids’ Pizza-

Ingredients– Curd, Semolina(sooji), Bread, Capsicum Carrot, Onion, Tomato, Salt, Black pepper.

Method– Mix curd and semolina to make a smooth paste. Dip bread into the mix and put it on tawa. Add chopped vegetables salt and pepper to it. Cover it with a round vessel. After sometime Kids’ pizza is ready.

  1. Vegetable sooji idli-

Ingredients– Sooji, Sour curd, Mustard seeds, Chana dal, Vegetables like capsicum, carrot, cabbage etc.

Method– Heat oil in a pan. Put mustard seeds and a handful of chana dal to it. Put sooji in it. Switch off the gas. Take this sooji in a vessel and add sour curd to it. Put it aside for 5 minutes. Now take idli cooker and put this mixture in the microwave oven for 6 minutes. Take it out and cut the idlies into  4 -4 pieces.  Put the cut vegetables in the pan and cook them for 2-3 minutes add idlis to it. Serve hot with green chutney.

  1. Palak pakoras-

Ingredients– Palak, Gram flour, Oil, Salt to taste.

Method– Chop Palak. Add gram flour to it. Heat oil in a pan. Make palak pakoras and serve hot with green chutney.
